Summer Day Camp at Pactamere Farm is for children 5-12 years old who love animals, the outdoors, and have an interest in learning about daily farm life.
Our week long camp, runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM - 4 PM and offers a variety of authentic hands-on “chores”, crafting and outdoor play that will expose your child to the day-to-day operations of our working farm. Activities will include caring for our chickens, goats, alpacas, pigs, sheep, cow and peacock. Your Junior Farmer will also help grow and harvest a garden of seasonal vegetables, fruits, and flowers, make goat milk cheese, create a one of a kind scented goat milk soap bar, learn to felt using alpaca wool, paint a flowerpot, and even partake in some goat yoga! Expect your Junior Farmer to get “down and dirty” at our week long camp filled with lots of farm fun.
We end every week with a special celebration for our Junior Farmers! On Fridays, campers participate in an Awards Ceremony & Ice Cream Social where they are recognized for teamwork, leadership, kindness, and personal growth throughout the week.
Parents are welcome to attend (though not required), and we encourage families to let us know about any dietary restrictions so we can do our best to accommodate. It’s a fun and meaningful tradition that campers look forward to all week long!
Upon camp completion, we will email you a photo collage of your camper’s fun week along with two complementary tickets to attend one of our summer movie nights.
Our Camp offers a fun summer camp experience on a real working farm. We work to create a fun and safe environment that encourages independence while nurturing lasting friendships. At a time when children are increasingly surrounded by smart phones, computers, television, our goal is to get campers outside, actively creating, playing and learning. Your child will be a hands-on, active participant in our farm community.
While our junior farmers play an integral role in caring for the animals and farm we also incorporate crafts, games, fun challenges and learning about our environment and how to care for it.
Our program focuses on promoting a positive self-image, encouraging friendships with both humans and animals and practicing a healthy lifestyle. Ultimately, our goal is to have these experiences, friendships and laughter stay with campers the rest of their lives.

The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program at Pactamere Farm is a leadership development experience for teens ages 13–15 who want to build responsibility, confidence, and communication skills in an outdoor farm setting.
Our Counselor-in-Training Program gives motivated teens ages 13–15 the chance to grow as leaders in a real camp setting. CITs learn how to engage children, model positive behavior, support farm activities, and work as part of a team—all while gaining confidence, responsibility, and practical experience that looks great on future applications and resumes. Many of our strongest counselors begin their journey as CITs!
CITs apply for and enroll in a 3–4 week leadership session. During that time, they attend camp Monday–Friday and work alongside our counselor team. Their responsibilities include assisting with camper groups, preparing materials for activities, helping with daily farm routines, modeling camp expectations, and learning how to support younger children safely. CITs receive ongoing guidance from camp staff, participate in leadership check-ins, and complete daily responsibilities. Successful completion earns a stipend and recognition at the end of the session.
Our CITs can complete real certifications that boost resumes and job applications, including:
These certifications set teens apart when applying for summer jobs, school leadership programs, volunteer opportunities, and future counselor roles.
The CIT Program uses a $400 refundable participation deposit instead of a tuition or program fee. This deposit is collected at registration to secure a space in the program and ensure commitment. The full $400 is refunded after the CIT completes the session, provided they attend their scheduled weeks and fulfill the expectations of the program. If a CIT does not complete the session, withdraws early, or is dismissed, the deposit is not refunded.
Refunds: The $400 CIT deposit is fully refundable upon successful completion of the session. If a CIT is unable to complete the session due to verified illness or family emergency, refunds will be handled case-by-case. Deposits are not refunded for schedule conflicts, extracurricular activities, vacations, or behavioral dismissals.
The CIT Program runs in three multi-week sessions throughout the summer. Teens may apply for one session only, and must be able to attend all weeks within their selected session.
📅 June 8 – July 3 (4 weeks)
📅 July 6 – July 31 (4 weeks)
📅 August 3 – August 21 (3 weeks)
Each session offers ongoing leadership development, hands-on experience working with children and animals, and daily mentorship from our camp team.
CIT positions are limited and competitive. We accept 4 teens per session to ensure a high-quality learning environment. Once a session fills, a waitlist will open.
