Summer Day Camp at Pactamere Farm is for children 5-12 years old who love animals, the outdoors, and have an interest in learning about daily farm life.
Our week long camp, runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM -3:30 PM and offers a variety of authentic hands-on “chores”, crafting and outdoor play that will expose your child to the day-to-day operations of our working farm. Activities will include caring for our chickens, goats, alpacas, pigs, sheep, cow and peacock. Your Junior Farmer will also help grow and harvest a garden of seasonal vegetables, fruits, and flowers, make goat milk cheese, create a one of a kind scented goat milk soap bar, learn to felt using alpaca wool, paint a flowerpot, and even partake in some goat yoga! Expect your Junior Farmer to get “down and dirty” at our week long camp filled with lots of farm fun.
On Friday, to celebrate a week of learning and having fun with animals, we'll have a water play day. We set up sprinklers, a splash pad, water balloons, etc! Please send your child in their swimsuit on Friday morning and pack them a change of clothing and towel.
Upon camp completion, we will email you a photo collage of your camper’s fun week along with two complementary tickets to attend one of our summer movie nights.
Our Camp offers a fun summer camp experience on a real working farm. We work to create a fun and safe environment that encourages independence while nurturing lasting friendships. At a time when children are increasingly surrounded by smart phones, computers, television, our goal is to get campers outside, actively creating, playing and learning. Your child will be a hands-on, active participant in our farm community.
While our junior farmers play an integral role in caring for the animals and farm we also incorporate crafts, games, fun challenges and learning about our environment and how to care for it.
Our program focuses on promoting a positive self-image, encouraging friendships with both humans and animals and practicing a healthy lifestyle. Ultimately, our goal is to have these experiences, friendships and laughter stay with campers the rest of their lives.
Hands-on involvement provided by our farm camp encourages children to be active and fosters a love for animals, nature and outdoor activities.
From Goat Yoga to Capture the flag, our summer camp allows children to stay active, while having a blast!
Children can cultivate a sense of responsibility by caring for animals.
Upon completion of enrollment, Pactamere Farm will email you the forms for any food allergies, special dietary needs and liability.
Water will be provided all day.
All forms are due no later than June 1st.
Every penny of our Camps goes towards keeping the animals of Pactamere Farm happy, healthy, and housed!
Pactamere Farm wants all of our Volunteer Counselors-in Training to have a wonderful summer experience while learning leadership skills, gaining farming and environmental knowledge, building self-confidence while having tons of fun!
Counselors-in-training get a behind-the-scenes peek at what it takes to run a nature based education farm including aspects of animal care, helping younger campers to handle the animals, identifying plants in the garden versus the weeds, office organization and more.
CITs can lend a hand in planning and organizing activities with animals and other farm resources like goat hikes, cow haltering and herd health. Applicants must commit to at least two consecutive weeks of camp to be considered. If interested in this program, please apply below and we will reach out to you!
